![]() ![]() Fortunately, Nintendo has the opportunity to fix the content drought with DLC, but it can't fix Mario Golf: Super Rush'sshift without some big post-launch changes. With the game suffering from a lack of content, shift goes from an annoyance to just another item in a laundry list of disappointment. Instead of finding the fun of golf and running with it, Super Rush introduces a sticking point that harms an experience already hindered in several other areas. However, those types of mechanics feel out of place in an arcade golf video game. Mario Golf: Super Rush Review (Switch) Dont worry, not a fore out of ten. I scored -7 on my first round and I skipped the tutorials. The accuracy thing is nowhere near as bad as the reviews made it out to be. Subtle shifts in grip and swing can influence the ball without meaning to. So Ive played a full round on the first 2 courses and did the first few lessons in adventure mode. The adventure mode goes off the rails after about halfway through. Then, they may need to use control tools to shape the shot, depending on what's in their way on the course. To say this game is lacking is an understatement. Just need to get my hands on one of the new N64 controllers to really let the nostalgia wash over me. During each shot, players need to factor in the lie, wind speed, and hazards. Super Rush was so easy it’s boring, I beat the story mode in about 5 hours and never touched it again. Severely lacking in content, misguided (who wants to play golf quickly what a fucking stupid gimmick) and just very little fun to be had. Taking that away makes for a frustrating experience. I am a nintendo fan in a big way, I have loved previous Mario Golf games, for me this was the biggest wet fart of a game I have seen in a long time and no one is giving it the shit it deserves. ![]()
